It May Not Look Pretty, But Pitt Finds A Way To Win

Pitt finally got over that Sweet 16 hump that has seemed just too high to clear for the past couple of years. Their win last night sure wasn't pretty, but it was effective. The Panthers found themselves having to come from behind again last night against Xavier. However, when they needed a boost, who did they do to? Levance Fields. Hold on...let me say that again. Levance Fields! Is this guy clutch or what? He is the best point guard in the country, regardless of what the stat sheet says. He is a floor general, which is a very underrated attribute in basketball today. Fields also has a knack for hitting the big shot, as he did last night. He has hit that step-back 3-pointer consistently throughout his career at Pitt. It's sure going to be hard to replace him...which is what I thought when Brandin Knight left.
